Long Nails to Make Beauty

Long nails have been popping up here and there for awhile now on folks like Rihanna and Fergie. And at first you guys weren’t having it. At all. But they’re sticking around, apparently. In fact, Fantasia wore them out just last night as you can see here.

It appears the unofficial short-nails-only red-carpet policy that’s been in place in the land of celebrities over the last few years is a thing of the past. Here’s just a little sample of the stars we’ve spotted sporting long tips recently:

I figure the shift is due to a couple of thing: 1) With Minxing and new nail art options, it’s just easier and more fun to play with your fingers in general. And 2) It’s cheaper than fancy jewelry, so it’s sort of recession-friendly.
