trimming a kittens claws (how?)?
My kitten is 5 months old with super long nails and she refuses to let me trim them! when i try i get little scratches and everyone is always focusing on my hands! the same thing happens when we try to play! is there any certain techniques you would recommend to trim her nails (talons)
Wait until she falls asleep, then pet her and then clip her claws. I always clip my cats claws while they’re asleep and they rarely struggle. If she does struggle, wrap her in a big towel and have someone hold her while you clip.
Make sure you only cut the clear tips. Don’t cut past the quick, that’s the pink part of the claw. I strongly suggest you trim them with a pet nail clipper but if you don’t have one, a human nail clipper will do.
